BJSHS Announcements

  • Announcements:  February 16, 2017

    I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible; with liberty and justice for all.

    1. There will be a Spanish Club meeting today during 2nd lunch in Mrs. Sanderson’s room.
    2. Freshmen- Jostens will be here today for Class Ring orders during lunch.
    3. Reminder- If you ever have a lunch meeting- make sure you get your lunch before going to your meeting!
    4. Staff Trivia- Answer was Mrs. Miller. There were no correct answers this week.
    5. Attention Ski Club- If you haven’t picked up your Nubs Nob form get it from Mrs. Oberloier.
    6. Attention all football players- The annual football team bowling outing takes place on Sunday, Feb. 19th at the Beaverton Bowl and Lounge, beginning at 2 pm. Cost is $6.  See the February Newsletter and/or the team Facebook page for further information.
    7. Coach Grove is looking for Football players to help move equipment at the Beaverton Fitness Center on Saturday February 18th and on Sunday February 19th. Please contact Coach Grove or Coach Seiser if you are able to help out. 
    8. 7th/8th grade formal dance will take place March 17th from 6-8 pm. Cost will be $5.00. 
    9. Saint-Gobain is looking for co-op students for this summer and next school year. Apply online www.saint-gobain-northamerica.com, search under Internships.  See Mrs. Phillips with any questions about the application process. 
    10. Educational Talent Search is sponsoring 2 SAT preparation events! One February 25th at MMCC’s Harrison campus and another on March 11th at Gladwin High School. Both events are from 11-1 and FREE, including lunch!! Fliers are posted in the hallways with contact information to RSVP. 
    11. Gatehouse will be after school Wednesdays for tutoring.
    12. Mock Rock is coming March 17th. 9th-12th grade students can perform and applications are in the office. 
    13. Co-op students- be sure that you are turning in your hour reports!
    14. Gladwin County Youth Soccer registration dates are March 1st and 2nd at the Gladwin Jr High Library 5:30-7:30.  For more information, please stop in at the office and pick up a flyer. 
    15. BYRP Sign-up is here- Sign up at Create-It Monday through Friday from now until March 3rd. The only Sat. sign up will be Feb. 25th from 9-12. 

    Events Tonight:   JV & Varsity Girls Basketball play Gladwin at home tonight. 

    Events results:     Boys Basketball- 8th grade won both games against Farwell. The B Team won 24-21.  Chandler Peterson scored 9 pts.  The B team went undefeated and are conference champs.  A Team won 36-15.  Carson Oldani scored 10 pts and Hunter Williams scored 11 pts.  JV won against Manton, Varsity lost to Manton 58-32.  Wrestling lost to Caro for Regionals 33-39.
